I recently was told about a program through Verizon concerning domestic violence. It’s called HopeLine.
Through the program, a person donates a phone that they no longer want. It is then refurbished and equipped with anytime minutes and texting capabilities. The phones are given to agencies and people of domestic violence so that they can stay connected to employers, family and friends.
It helps the environment, since your old phones are no longer in the landfills, and it helps victims of domestic violence. Visit their website for more information.
