Anderson Boback & Marshall is proud to share some exciting news. Three of our attorneys have earned recognition in the 2027 Illinois Super Lawyers publication. Managing Partner Jessica C. Marshall has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list, and attorneys Genevieve Binnie and Laura Darby have each been named to the Illinois Rising Stars list.
Jessica C. Marshall Named a Super Lawyer
For Jessica, the honor continues a clear pattern. Super Lawyers named her a Rising Star every year from 2018 through 2024, and she joined the Illinois Super Lawyers list in 2026. Her 2027 selection builds on that record. Each year, the Super Lawyers list recognizes no more than 5 percent of attorneys in the state.
Genevieve Binnie and Laura Darby Named Rising Stars
Genevieve Binnie earns her fourth consecutive Rising Stars selection, from 2024 through 2027, for her work in complex family law matters. Laura Darby earns her second consecutive Rising Stars selection, from 2026 through 2027, for her work representing clients in high-conflict divorce and custody cases. The Rising Stars list recognizes no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in the state who are 40 or younger or have been in practice 10 years or less.
How Super Lawyers Selects Its Honorees
Super Lawyers follows a rigorous, multi-step selection process. It combines peer nominations, independent research, and peer evaluation within each attorney’s practice area. An attorney cannot apply for the honor, and no one can buy it. The same process supports both the Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. That is what gives these distinctions their weight.
