What Kim Anderson’s Clients are Saying:
Best Relocation Lawyer – “I had a highly contentious and difficult international relocation case. Kim Anderson won the case. Relocation cases are extremely difficult, particularly international relocation cases. This is the only lawyer in Chicago you will want to talk to on this. I read some of her articles online and consulted with her and I was glad I did. Nobody else could have done what she did. She fought hard against various delays, twists and turns. She is ethical and fights back hard against anyone who is not! She stands up to abuse of power and using the legal system to bully her clients. I felt safe and taken care of within the legal system for the first time within my case. If you want someone who will fight for you then this is the person for you. She has the experience, the expertise and the fighting spirit that you need. She is also straight up and to the point and very easy to relate to and work with. She is responsive and you get the sense she cares about her clients. The team around her are fantastic too and seem to work day and night. International relocations can be won-don’t waste your time and money on anyone else-call Kim Anderson and her success.”
Caring Representation – “I have been working with Kim Anderson and the firm of Anderson Boback & Marshall for my legal needs surrounding a breakdown in the life of my family and me. I spoke with the senior partner Jen Spence a year ago for an hour. I needed knowledge to balance out the fear that was consuming me. I received an open ear listening and acknowledging my mental emotional intellectual state. At that time there were no legal points or recommendations to be given. It was a caring dialogue, and a endeavor of understanding, helping me gain a sense of where I was. The entire team that I work with now, after meeting Kim a year later is exceptional. I came to the understanding from the prior helpful conversation that I needed active representation. What has become a very important and wonderful realization is that Kim, Rachel, Olivia, all of the other members communicate so well in supporting each other that they are really seamless. The also work to support me and my spouse and children all. I am their client and they are a team for me and my family together. They actively listen exchange well with each other abide by what I want, unless it goes against my best interest, and they have put their foot down when I have adamantly wanted to make a choice in their experience was not, you’re my best interest. Kim and her entire team take care. The financial aspect of this is important also, and they have handled it with absolute decency. They work with me to minimize the hurtful financial impact of what is going on. They help me to Garner resources in the right direction as I’m burning through them. I can’t say they are the right firm for everyone. I can say that I unequivocally could not in any way shape or form have chosen a better team to bring on board, and help me navigate something with respect and love. Something impossible to do without the caring assistance of this group.”
Excellent Representation – “I could not be more impressed or appreciative for this firm’s work. Kimberly Anderson is professional, benefits from an exceptional reputation in the legal community, and understands how to make a difficult process easier. Her availability to answer questions and strategize goes far beyond what I’ve experienced with other lawyers. I highly recommend her firm.”
Excellent – “I highly recommend Kimberly Anderson. She is knowledgeable, assertive, and experienced. What impressed me most about Kim is her dedication. I was able to reach her whenever there was a problem. She always responded immediately, proposed a solution, and put me at ease. The entire legal team at Anderson Boback & Marshall is superb.”
Impressive – “Had to commend Ms. Anderson. Although I was represented by someone else in the beginning of my divorce, who I believed was experienced in complex divorce cases, as they advertised. They were not. I watched Ms. Anderson in a courtroom on another matter and called her afterward to see if she would take on my divorce case as I was unsatisfied with my attorney’s representation. Best call I ever made! I wish I had called her first, would have saved myself much aggravation, time and money.”
Effective Representation, Strong Communication – “I hired Kim Anderson of Anderson Boback & Marshall during a complicated and emotionally difficult time, after reviewing and meeting with several firms. Their representation was top-notch- from our initial intake consultation through the difficult and lengthy litigation process, they were thorough, thoughtful, and results- driven. They explained complex litigation strategies, as well as the minutiae, as they wrote briefs, appeared in court on my behalf, and took depositions of the many witnesses involved in my case. They also delivered a successful result- after several years of trudging through the tedious legal system, we won!! Their fees were in the range I expected, they were reasonably accessible, and most importantly, I felt supported all the way through the process. If you find yourself in the unhappy situation of needing a lawyer to fight for you, I recommend Anderson Boback & Marshall without hesitation.”

- Divorce : Eviction (in Marriage of King, 208 Ill. 2d 332, 802 N.E.2d 1216, 280 Ill.Dec. 695 (Ill., 2003) Sam King came to me because he was facing an eviction. He is now deceased. But at the time, he was in his 80’s and had just gotten divorced. His attorney had sued him for attorneys fees and Sam had lost his fight against his attorney in court. The attorney received a judgment against Sam and ended up placing a levy on his house. Without Sam’s knowledge, his house was sold for just $23,000, even though it was worth $80,000.As Sam’s attorney, we sought to undo the order selling his house. Eventually the Cook County Public Guardian came on to the case with me so that Sam could be adjudicated a disabled person. The trial court ended up vacating the sale and the case went up to the Illinois Supreme Court where Sam was again successful. He was able to get his home back and lived there until he died.
- Adoption , Domestic Abuse: Drug Addiction, & Adoption Represented a drug addicted mother who was facing the adoption of her 4 year old daughter. Client was dating a man who beat her, and she was using drugs. She wanted to make a change in her life, so she obtained an order of protection to remove the man from her life and she went into rehab. She couldn’t bring her daughter with her to rehab, so she entrusted her daughter with the father’s parents, people she was getting along with and liked at the time. When she got out of rehab, she went to get her daughter back, and the grandparents refused. They filed for adoption. It took three years, but we were successful in keeping the grandparents from adopting her daughter.
